The Public Access Policy

When you are ready to submit a filing, the Payment and Submission screen will require you to acknowledge that the documents you are submitting comply with the Case Records Public Access Policy of the Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania ("Policy"). The checkbox, appearing at the top of this screen, must be selected on every filing you submit through PACFile.

The Policy, which is applicable to the Appellate Courts and Courts of Common Pleas, focuses on the public availability of case-related documents and requirements related to the submission of confidential information (i.e. social security numbers, bank account numbers, medical records, etc.). If you have not had an opportunity to review the Policy, you are encouraged to do so before you submit your next filing. The Policy can be found at the following web address:
